The more I think about it... Wow! What other physical system is likely to match the DNA/protein assembly system that creates us? Match in the sense that this other system can support evolution and create what we call living beings?
Closely related: are there other physical systems that can support something like life as we experience it here on Earth? Are there other systems that have an information storing system comparable to DNA/RNA? That have ways of transforming that information into systems comparable to our protein/lipid/carbohydrate structures that are the structures of our living beings? (cells) And that the results of the successes and failures of those structures can get fed back to that information storing system? (mutations)
