ROGER BOURKE WHITE JR. ANNOUNCES TWO NEW TECHNOFICTION BOOKS
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — Roger Bourke White Jr. is publishing the first two books in his Tales of Technofiction series: "Tips for Tailoring Spacetime Fabric" Volumes 1 and 2.
These were published by Author House in December 2009 and available from Author House, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other book sellers. The books will be coming out in paperback and e-book formats.
"The Tips books are filled with short stories about people encountering different kinds of quirks of science, and dealing with them," says White, "Tips Vol.1 is about things happening in space and on distant worlds. Tips Vol. 2 is about things happening on earth. What makes these stories special is that they have good science and internal consistency as well as interesting characters. I call this kind of writing technofiction."
These books are the first two being released in White's Tales of Technofiction series. They will be followed in a few months by "Rostov Rising", a novel-length tale of technofiction fantasy about a magic user living in a remote valley in the Balkans just as the Industrial Revolution is coming to this valley he rules, and "The Honeycomb Comet", a novel-length tale of humans encountering a moon-size alien containing civilization-changing treasures.
Roger Bourke White Jr. was a soldier in Vietnam in the 1960’s, an MIT engineering student in the 1970’s, a Local Area Network pioneer in the 1980’s and an English teacher in Korea in the 1990’s. More than most people, he’s been there and done that, and while he did, he took notes! Today his interest centers around figuring out why people think the way they do.
He has a broad background in history, science, technology, and sociology. He is an accomplished trainer, writer, speaker and analyst.
