Technofiction review of

OK Go, the music group

by Roger Bourke White Jr., copyright October 2015

Summary

This is a first for me: reviewing music videos. But the group OK Go has put out a couple of music videos that dropped my jaw. So I'm telling the world.

Details

This group gets around. They do a lot of TV and movie sound tracks, and seem to get around the world, too -- places such as Japan. But what caught my eye was a couple of videos that are making the Youtube rounds. These are I Won't Let You Down and The Writing's on the Wall. Both of these are so innovative visually. They are innovative in both the choreography and the technology being used. It is a wonderful mix that produces a visually fascinating result.

This is combined with a music style that is easy on the ears of this old man who grew up learning and loving sixties rock and folk-rock music.

The result: a series of fun music videos that are fascinatingly innovative in visual style and fun to listen to. I'm happy I've discovered them.
