What is going to be the most common cargo on a space ship that travels between star systems?
It is going to be data.
That data will be used to build factories in the new star system and those will produce the goods that we usually think of as the cargo on a commercial ship.
This data includes the data that will grow life in the new system -- immigrants will come from factories on the new world, they won't be passengers coming on the ship from the old world.
