Conclusion of Book Two

We have covered a lot of ground in this Book Two.

Its goal has been to show how thinking about human thinking in the evolutionary framework can explain why a lot of current social problems have been hard to solve.

Basically, that’s because the wrong kind of thinking is being applied to the problem, usually Instinct-based thinking that doesn’t work well in the civilized environment.

That leads to:

What you, the reader, can learn from this is to see when potentially expensive circumstances like those we’ve seen are developing in your world. At minimum, you can then duck. If you have the clout, you can try to get those with responsibility thinking on a different track.

If you succeed at either, then this section has been helpful, and you and I will both rest easier at night.
