I taught Netware 3 and Netware 4 classes in 1995, and assisted in Internet

- I took a sabbatical from the computer industry to work at something completely
different. I taught English to adult Koreans. I was a visiting instructor
at Police University, Central Officials Training Institute (COTI), several
other "OTI's", and the conglomerates SKC and SKI. I had a fine
time learning Korean culture and history and meeting many Koreans in business,
government and engineering circles.

- I researched products and industry trends associated with local area network
(LAN) computer products. I did performance and product testing on new products
using a state-of-the-art LAN equipped with NetWare 3 and Netware 4. I interviewed
many LAN development company VIPs. I published my results in LAN Times,
Network Advisor, and LAN magazines and Intel white papers.

- I researched future trends in groupware and cross-environment applications.
(LANs where different workstations are mixed together) I used a LAN that
mixed Macs and PC-compatibles. My results were published in The Burton GroupReport.

- 1986-1989 Developer Relations Manager, Novell Inc., Provo, Utah
- The highlight of my Novell experience was bringing 30 vendors to the "NetWare
for Macintosh" product kickoff, including Apple's John Scully.
I also acted as promoter and liaison to 3rd party software developers. I
helped them make their products NetWare-compatible. I put on presentations
about the virtues of NetWare to potential distributors and volume purchasers,
and I wrote position papers describing Novell's development and marketing
strategies.

- I started at Beehive as a technical sales consultant. I worked in training,
then moved to marketing. I worked with personal computers, IBM 3270 compatible
peripherals, Burroughs terminals, and DEC/ANSI-compatible terminals.
- 1981-1982 Sales Manager, Novell Data Systems, Orem, Utah
- I started at Novell Data Systems in customer support. This was a startup
company. While I was in customer support I helped in product design and
marketing. I ultimately I moved to sales and ran the Dallas sales office
for six months.
- 1977-1980 Founder and General Manager, Computerland, Salt Lake City
- I founded and ran this store. It was perhaps the 100th retail computer
store opened in the world. I sold Apple IIs, Commodore PETs and CP/M-based
computers at the time.

- 1967-1970 I joined the US Army and worked as an Air Traffic Controller
in Saigon, Vietnam and Dugway, Utah.
